Note: This webquest can be completed either by a small group of colleagues or by an individual teacher.

Congratulations! Your school leader is excited about the new M.E.C.Y. initiative Literacy with ICT across the Curriculum and wants to support you in being the first teacher(s) in your school to develop profiles of three students using the Developmental continuum for Literacy with ICT. While excited about the possibilities for building your students' literacy with ICT, you are unsure how to use the continuum to assess your students’ literacy with ICT, and to involve them in their own assessment.
This webquest will guide you and your group through the process of using the continuum and developing the profiles of your students' LwICT as requested by your administrator. You are aware that you will be able to use the profiles as assessment FOR learning and also that your students will be able to use the student-friendly version of the continuum for assessment AS learning.
By completing this webquest, you will :
1. understand the meaning of literacy with ICT
2. develop a profile of your own literacy with ICT
3. develop profiles of your learners literacy with ICT using the developmental continuum
4. report on 3 competencies relating to your students’ literacy with ICT
